'Stereoscope' is the scary new short horror film that will make you poo your pants!
I love a good horror short but decent one are fairly hard to come by. The last good one I saw was Lights Out which was released way back in 2014. Here it is in case your memory needed refreshing.
I've been itching to watch a new horror and I heard some pretty creepy things about Alexander Babaev's latest short film Stereoscope. It turned out to be way freakier than I expected and considering it's just over 3 minutes long, the director managed to capture the fear and intensity rather well. Take a look:
My faith is short horror flicks has now been restored.
For those who want to know more here is a brief synopsis.
Young mother Angela is laying her little son down for a sleep one afternoon. When she answers the door after hearing the doorbell ring, she discovers a little green box on her doorstep. She scans the area but doesn't find any indication that someone has been there. Angela opens the package after bringing it into her kitchen. A little, black stereoscope with a disc to put into it and a note with instructions are included inside. Angela examines the letter with the directions, which reads "1: Insert the disc. 2: Five complete turns. 3: Enjoy the company."
After inserting the disc into the scope, Angela holds it up for inspection. Her kitchen appears to have a subtle red tint when viewed through the scope's lens. When Angela flips the scope, the filter goes green, but she immediately puts it down when she hears someone crying.
