Porsche 919 Evo smashes Nurburgring lap record
The previous record of six minutes and 11.13 seconds, set by Stefan Bellof in a Porsche 956, had stood for an impressive 35 years.
That was until earlier this week, when a 919 driven by Le Mans winner Timo Bernhard went around the legendary circuit in FIVE MINUTES and 19.545 seconds!
How in God's name do you shave the best part of a minute off a record which has stood for so long?
