Poppy Outrage 2018 might be the best edition yet!
Our ancestors didn't fight and die in two World Wars just so you could have the freedom to decide what you do or don't wear!
This year's festivities began in the now-traditional manner; with a late-October statement from James McClean explaining why he hates our brave boys: “I know many people won’t agree with my decision or even attempt to gain an understanding of why I don’t wear a poppy.
“I accept that but I would ask people to be respectful of the choice I have made, just as I’m respectful of people who do choose to wear a poppy.”
For anyone interested in the 'reasoning' behind this traitorous stance, McClean just so happens to have grown up on the same Derry estate as six victims of the Bloody Sunday massacre. Snowflake.
Unwilling and unable to let this show of disloyalty slide, the fearless poppy defenders of Stoke took the opportunity to give him an absolute earful during Saturday's draw with Middlesbrough.
