Accountant stole £260,000 from work & blew it all on hookers & cocaine
A dude who claimed he was bullied at work stole £260,000 from the company and blew most of it on coke and hookers to make himself feel better.
38-year-old accountant Darren Carvill robbed £260,000 from his employers and spent £170,000 of it on cocaine and prostitutes in one weekend. Damn! Must’ve been some bloody good cocaine! Darren admitted stealing the money from car servicing company Mr Clutch and claimed it was because he had low self esteem after being bullied. Darren’s lawyer told the court that his client had become addicted to a life of high-class escort parties and drugs.
Apparently Darren started sending fake payments to himself after allegedly being bullied at work. Obviously he was caught and later pleaded guilty to 18 fraud charges and was sent down for two years. Darren said that when he knew he was going to get caught, he went out a blew £170,000 in one weekend by partying with hookers and taking loads of coke, claiming he wanted to 'go out with a bang'. Damn right!
Here’s what his lawyer, James Ross, had to say:
Dude sounds like he was using a couple of assholes at work as an excuse to steal hundreds of thousands of pounds. His stunt almost pushed the company into bankruptcy, with some of his co-workers going without pay for up to five months. One of the company’s owners, Alfred Abdulla, said that Darren was a good and trustworthy employee and that no one ever expected this. Alfred has since had to borrow money from friends and family to save the business. Sounds like a bloody nightmare. At least Darren had a good weekend before taking his thieving ass off to jail!

He has had a very unhappy life.
For most of his life he has been bullied. He has suffered from very low self-esteem and social awkwardness. He says he was a good employee and worked long hours and did good work.
He says his bosses had shown him nothing but kindness. But other than the owners, there was at least one person who subjected him to ridicule and caused a downward spiral.
