Macaulay Culkin responds to 'Home Alone' reboot
With Disney announcing that it will be rebooting some of the old classics such as Night at the Museum and Home Alone, fans have responded with disgust that Disney dare to touch their beloved childhood classics. According to reports, Home Alone, Night at the Museum and Diary of a Wimpy Kid are among those to be 'reimagined' for Disney's new streaming service, Disney+.
To be fair, I’m not best pleased about the reboots either but I don’t care enough to kick up a stink on social media about it. However, one person who isn’t too keen is Kevin McAllister himself. 38-year-old Macaulay Culkin, who played Kevin in Home Salome nearly three decades ago posted this pic on Twitter and captured the post: 'This is what an updated Home Alone would actually look like.'
Macaulay followed up his tweet with a message to Disney, saying: 'Hey @Disney, call me!'
Ha. Sounds like a pretty funny dude. It does make you wonder what the hell going Disney are going to do with these movies though. They certainly can’t make them any better! It’ll be interesting to see how much they bastardise some of our Christmas classics!
