Yale professor predicts a ‘sex-crazed roaring 20s’ awaits post-pandemic
It’s good news for those of you who thought it was just debt and depression awaiting us post-pandemic because a Yale professor has waded in and predicted that it’s going to be a free-for-all of sex and debauchery. Yale professor Dr. Nicholas Christakis, and social epidemiologist says that society will make up for lost time as soon as it’s safe to, with hedonism quickly replacing conservative socialising. Sounds bloody amazing right?! Here’s what he told the Guardian:
During epidemics you get increases in religiosity, people become more abstentious, they save money, they get risk averse and we’re seeing all of that now, just as we have for hundreds of years during epidemics. In 2024, all of those pandemic trends will be reversed.

It looks like we’ll pretty much follow the same pattern as the “roaring 20s”, which followed the 1918 Spanish Flu pandemic. Christakis says that humanity is heading into an era of “sexual licentiousness, vice and indulgence.” He’s also predicting an economic boom. Well I’m liking the sound of this way more than the Great Depression like other people are talking about. Let’s all just have sex and have a bloody good time.
