This one really got me. Los Angeles resident Mohamed Bzeek has spent the last 20 years taking in terminally ill children from LA's sprawling foster care foundation. He is the only one in the county who will take in the children. He says:

Quote:The key is, you have to love them like your own. I know they are sick. I know they are going to die. I just do my best as a human being.

At the moment I am taking care of young girl with a rare malformation. I know she can't hear, can't see, but I always talk to her and I'm always holding her, playing with her. She has feelings. She has a soul. She's a human being.

Melissa Testerman, a DCFS intake coordinator who finds placements for sick children said "Mohamed is the only one that would take a child who would possibly not make it." What an incredible person.
