This Ferrari 250 GTO just sold for $80m!
Yep, that makes it the most expensive car ever. By some distance too. The previous record was held by another 250 which fetched $38m back in 2014.
So what makes this one so particularly bloody special? Well it did win the Tour de France (the car one, not the bike one) in 1964, and the previous year finished second in class and fourth overall at Le Mans.
A decent pedigree then, not to mention super-rare and cool AF. But $80m? Sort of seems like a lot...
