Cringe warrior couple, Lea and Tim have taken their love of vampires a tad far but having their teeth filed down to points and even cutting each other with razor blades so they can feed on each other's blood. Oh fuck off!
20-year-old fetish model Lea, and her 30-year-old tarot-reader boyfriend Tim, met at a vampire festival a few years ago, where their 'connection of darkness' drew them together. They now live as real-life 'vampires' and have even renamed themselves themselves the ‘Count and Countess of House Van Doorn'. The couple regularly do a blood sucking ritual and claim it’s ‘better than sex.’ They must have some really shit sex.To draw blood, the couple cut each other's skin with razor blades or draw blood with syringes, and then drink it from a goblet or suck it straight from the wound. Eww. Tim says:
When I feed via blood it is just as good as sex because I feel this rush of life, their essence, their energy is coming into myself and I am taking it in and I feel empowered. I feel the person I'm feeding from on a whole different level and in a totally different way than I could with words.
Lea says:
I actually prefer drinking blood to having sex. You are taking the essence of a person and that to me is ecstasy.
There is no better feeling.
We are kind of like sharks once we get going. It is a sexual experience and we often draw blood in the bedroom.
Vampires are highly sexualised creatures and having sex literally gets the blood pumping.
When asked about blood diseases and how the pair stay safe, the couple insist that they are 'squeaky clean' and get tested every few months, Tim says:
Blood feeding does tend to make people a little uncomfortable.
Because you know they are afraid of being scarred or they are afraid of some transmitted disease and it is completely understandable given how some people can be very reckless with that.
That's why we predominantly feed on each other to keep it very behind closed doors.
Lea adds:
We go and get tested for diseases together and it's almost like a bonding experience. I feel like it strengthens our relationship.
Sometimes the couple like to drink blood for other people outside the relationship but say they take precautions to make sure they are 'sanitary'. Tim says:
If they are unable to provide documentation and I do feed from them, the next week I make sure I go tested right away. We haven't had any problems so far.
Sounds a bit dicey there, Tim. Y’know, aids n shit. When asked about how they compare to your average textbook vampire, Lea says:
I feel like I come alive at night, but we aren't allergic to sunlight, I am partial to garlic and we definitely don't sleep in coffins.
Many people see our lives as controversial but it's as natural as breathing to us.
I can't see myself ever moving away from vampirism, it's not for everyone but it's who we are.
