There's a new 'Silent Hill' film in the making!
When it comes to creepy and eery video games, nothing even comes to close to being as insanely awesome as Silent Hill. The game franchise made it’s movie debut back in 2006, and was a pretty big success, raking in $100 million at the box office worldwide. Fans went nuts when the sequel was released but it turned out to be such a monumental flop that it put a nail in the coffin in terms of any future Silent Hill movies...until now.
With the abysmal sequel now way behind us, the first film's director has revealed that he is now working on a brand new movie. Here's what Christophe Gans, who directed Silent Hill and 2014's Beauty and the Beast had to say about his upcoming project:
We’re also working on a new Silent Hill. The project will always be anchored in this atmosphere of a small American town, ravaged by Puritanism. I think it’s time to make a new one.
Hell yeah, I'm totally pumped for this! There's no official start date for shooting yet but hopefully it won't be long for more info to be released.
