Elon Musk predicts that by 2030 AI machines will enslave us!
Brainiacs Elon Musk, Stephen Hawking and Raymond Kurzweil have predicted that by the year 2030 machines will develop consciousness. This will apparently lead to a variety of benign, neutral and horrifyingly terrifying outcomes. Stephan Hawking and a bunch of other researchers also claim that AI machines could one day completely eradicate disease and poverty - kind of like that healing machine in the movie Elysium. That would be the benign outcome.
The neutral outcome was predicted by Raymond Kurzweil who believes that by 2030 people will be able to "upload their minds" which will fuse humans with machines. This is the neutral outcome? Sounds more bloody terrifying to me! Sadly this isn't the most frightening outcome!
The most terrifying outcome was predicted by Elon Musk who sees humans becoming nothing more than pets to AI machines. Raymond Kurzweil takes it a step further and envisions humans being completely eradicated - kind of like Skynet from The Terminator movies.
Humans are going deeper into a world they don't fully understand. We are on the verge of creating conscious machines which will ultimately lead to a world where robots are the dominant creatures. It's all a bit fucking scary really. I just hope as a robot sympathiser I'll be spared a life of being a house cat to the AI overlords. Maybe I can polish their equipment instead, be a robot concubine or something!
