Hunter S.Thompson's daily drug routine will blow your mind
If you consider your daily pack of Silk Cut a serious addiction then take a look at this guy. The Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas writer’s daily routine was noted by E. Jean Carroll in the first chapter of her 1994 book HUNTER: The Strange and Savage Life of Hunter S. Thompson, and it's pretty insane. His diet mainly consists of cocaine, Chivas Regal and Dunhill cigarettes.
So don't feel bad if you like a little dabble, this guy is an incredible, world published writer so maybe all the best people do drugs?! I love how he only waits 11 minutes between lines. You may think all these vices would affect his work but on the contrary, he says they have actually helped him, as he once famously stated:
I hate to advocate drugs, alcohol, violence, or insanity to anyone, but they’ve always worked for me.
